The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service amended the Request for Proposal for the Farmers to Families Food Box Program to add Louisiana to the Southwest region.
The RFPs are due by 1 pm Eastern on May 1.
USDA also included a 40-item Frequently Asked Questions section, which among other things, confirms that fruits and vegetables must be packed in boxes, they must be 100 percent domestic origin, and it clarifies what kinds of non-profits may receive deliveries.

USDA hosted a webinar on Tuesday, April 28, and it posted the video here.
