In March 2008, ProCure opened the first dedicated proton therapy training facility in the world.

   

ProCure Treatment Centers’ mission is to increase the availability of proton therapy to the many patients who could benefit from this advanced cancer treatment.   • Breaking records – Scheduled to open in 2009, The ProCure Proton Therapy Center in Oklahoma City reached a major milestone with the arrival of the 220-ton cyclotron, putting the proton center on track to be completed in a world-record 27 months.
  • Building a Network of World-Class Proton Therapy Centers - ProCure is developing proton therapy centers in Oklahoma, Illinois, Michigan and South Florida while exploring additional opportunities with practice groups across the country.
  • Looking towards the future – Addressing the critical nationwide shortage of medical physicists, ProCure is collaborating with Oklahoma State University, giving students unprecedented hands-on training at the Proton Therapy Center in Oklahoma City.
  • World’s First Proton Training and Development Center – Offering “before-the-job” training, the ProCure Training and Development Center is the first facility in the world dedicated to proton therapy training.
  • Expanding Clinical Research – ProCure is partnering with the University of Pennsylvania to expand research on proton therapy technology and to develop new protocols using protons to treat a wider range of cancer tumors.
